28 Preface قُرآنًا عَرَبِيًّا غَيرَ ذي عِوَجٍ لَعَلَّهُم يَتَّقونَYusuf Ali(It is) a Qur-ān in Arabic,1 without any crookedness (therein):2 in order that they may guard against Evil.Previous revelations had been in other languages. Now the revelation was given in Arabia in Arabic itself, the language of the country which all could understand.
