18 Preface يَومَ يَبعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ جَميعًا فَيَحلِفونَ لَهُ كَما يَحلِفونَ لَكُم ۖ وَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّهُم عَلىٰ شَيءٍ ۚ أَلا إِنَّهُم هُمُ الكاذِبونَYusuf AliOne day will God raise them all up (for Judgment): then will they swear to Him1 as they swear to you: And they think that they have something (to stand upon). No, indeed! they are but liars!When Judgment is established, and before they realise the Truth, they may think (as now) that some oaths or excuses will save them. But they have not nowmuch less will they have then-any footing to stand upon. Falsehood is falsehood, and must perish. They must learn the worthlessness of their falsehood.
